Designs formed around the present and future needs of the client

The project starts with procurement of the brief, identifying the client’s present and future needs, and developing a concept which can be refined working with the client. The concept design is then advanced into the developed design, from which building consent documentation is produced.

In-house resource consent and structural engineering advice

Although architecture is a stand-alone profession, each design often includes elements requiring resource consent, and structural engineering. In-house consultants in these areas allow us to offer a comprehensive service that runs smoothly and efficiently from the start, as everyone is aware of project goals at inception.

Streetscaping of Blenheim’s CBD

A four-stage project, ending with an amphitheatre on the Taylor River. The focus of the design was to reinforce the traditional heart of the town and create links to the new riverside development.

Transforming a retired council building into a vibrant art gallery incorporating two exhibition halls and a retail space, all on a limited budget, for the Art Gallery Trust.

A House in Okaramaio

Set on a spur with 270° views. The clients wanted a house that complemented their lifestyle and took advantage of the views that the site presented. It was a challenging site with limited access; marrying the house with the spur required some sympathetic engineering and delicate detailing.
