Khalid Suleiman (NZCE civil, REA)

Khalid started his career in Marlborough with John Smart in 2000, after graduating from Christchurch Polytechnic in 1999 with a New Zealand Certificate in Engineering NZCE (civil).

International experience shapes specialties

Khalid worked with John Smart on a large roading and bridge project in the Maldives and spent several months on the atoll supervising construction. Khalid has also spent several years in Bristol and Glasgow in the United Kingdom working on large scale civil projects.

Engineering for a growing Marlborough

Khalid covers a broad area of Engineering including Civil and Coastal. Khalids’ specialty areas are Marlborough Sounds developments, subdivision, on-site wastewater, jetties and boatsheds.

Away from the office, Khalid enjoys hunting, fishing, diving and is also a keen sportsman playing football and basketball.
