Onsite Wastewater Management Systems - Discharge to Land Permit
When public reticulation is not available Smart Alliances are able to design you an onsite wastewater system or take care of your discharge permit renewal. Council requirements relating to wastewater design are stringent. Smart Alliances have the expertise, including environmental science services, accredited site and soil evaluators and resource management consultants to navigate these requirements to achieve an economic solution to your wastewater disposal.
Soil Testing
Every build starts with a penetrometer soil test (PT) Smart Alliances can take care of all of your soil testing needs and provide relevant reports and advise on the land suitability
Geotechnical Engineering
With the popularity of the Marlborough Sounds continuing to boom, clients are building further and further out into the Sounds on sites previously deemed impossible due to site characteristics such as steep slopes, planning and access requirements. Steep sites require special investigation to ensure the proposed development will remain stable and protected.
Smart Alliances coastal engineering team provide highly specialised civil, structural and geotechnical engineering combined with resource planning to address construction near or within the marine environment.
Liquefaction
The Geotechnical Engineering team at Smart Alliances have extensive knowledge and experience relating to liquefaction prone sites. We regularly carry out assessments for subdivisions and new builds in the Marlborough and Kaikoura areas. We can also undertake testing and coordinate drilling rigs for Cone Penetrometer Testing (CPT) when required.
